Hatteras Yachts
Hatteras GT60

The Hatteras GT60 takes its exterior design cues from the current 60, but a newly redesigned cockpit and a touch of panache added to the overall design give this 60 a unique style of her own. The interior accommodations found in the GT60 are not only more open, but are designed with a level of sophistication not often found in a convertible. Larger window framing allows for better views, and beautifully combined wall coverings and exotic woods create a more open layout while continuing to provide a warm and luxurious environment.

Exterior Details

The GT60 was the first installment in the Hatteras GT Series, an exciting family of tournament class convertibles designed for serious anglers. It features best-in-class performance, unforgettable styling, and a construction pedigree that has made Hatteras Yachts the gold standard among anglers and yachtsmen for more than 50 years. It is the culmination five decades of leadership in convertible design and propulsion development, combined with the latest technological advances in materials and methods utilized in fiberglass construction.

The styling of the Hatteras GT60 certainly turns heads at the dock, but what is most noticeable is its performance.

The GT60 sports a top-end speed of 41-knots at full load, a 36-knot cruise, and range exceeding 400nm when equipped with CAT C32A’s @ 1900bhp. This performance is made possible by utilizing resin infusion technology in our solid fiberglass bottom hulls. This provides increased strength while allowing the boat to be much lighter than a traditional hand-laid vessel. Achieving these speeds while preserving our legendary ride, the models in the GT Series, represent the next generation in hull design from Hatteras.

Equipped to meet the standards of the most competitive anglers, the cockpit of the GT60 was designed for improved fishing as well as increased relaxation. Mezzanine seating is more comfortable than ever and cockpit features include a dedicated tackle center, in-deck fish boxes, and an optional recirculating live well at the transom. Stowage is excellent, with compartments for gaffs and boat hooks along with ample rod storage.

On the flybridge, the GT60 features a standard center console with room for three monitors and Palm Beach-style controls at the helm pod. For those needing more room for electronics and storage, a peninsula helm station is available. Both offer excellent visibility both forward and aft into the cockpit.

An optional teak package is available for the coaming boards, cockpit sole and toerail for those who want to play up the GT60’s distinctive design.

Interior Details

Hatteras is not a company to chase trends, so when designing the interior of the GT60 we didn’t go ultra contemporary. Instead, the décor is best defined as traditional taken to the next level. Subtle details such as the solid wood accents in the overhead and chair rail seen throughout the boat are reminiscent of the carefully crafted millwork found in Hatteras classics for decades.

The salon and galley are on one level for an open layout that maximizes floor space. The galley features a large peninsula with under-counter cold storage below and plenty of work space up above. Optional bar stools provide additional seating for two. Cabinetry is carefully placed and decorative bulkhead framing is kept to a minimum to provide a panoramic 270-degree view through the large windows. Custom furniture — including a café-style dinette and L-shaped salon sofa — is finely crafted and offers ample storage for rods, gear and provisions. There is more than enough room for everything you’ll need for extended voyages.

Below and forward of the galley lies a suite of comfortable staterooms guaranteed to soften even the saltiest angler. To port, the master stateroom features a full queen-sized bed with storage beneath, flanked by built-in nightstands and more custom wood details. An additional dresser and two hanging lockers offer even more storage. The master suite is made complete with its own private head.

The VIP stateroom at the bow also features a private head. This space can be configured with a double bed or separate bunks in a V-berth configuration. The third stateroom is found to starboard and provides ample room for two. An optional four-stateroom, three-head arrangement is also available for those needing more space for friends, family and crew. Each stateroom is equipped with individual climate control to maximize comfort while aboard. A flat-screen TV and stereo are standard in the master stateroom and can be added as an option in the other berthing areas.

Exterior Details

The exterior of the GT60 may be all about performance, but take one step into the salon and you’ll see that the interior design is pure comfort and luxury. The interior accommodations found in the GT60 are not only more open, but are designed with a level of sophistication not often found in a convertible. Larger window framing allows for better views, and beautifully combined wall coverings and exotic woods create a more open layout while continuing to provide a warm and luxurious environment.

The salon and galley are set up to maximize seating and storage. The galley countertop is cantilevered to provide a larger work surface and allow for barstool placement for additional seating. The dinette features a diner-style booth for easier access for multiple guests and storage underneath.

Below deck, the master sits athwartship to port with its own private head. To port is a bunkroom featuring comfortable side-by-side berths. The VIP berth can be found at the bow and can be outfitted with either a double berth or separate V-berths. Both the VIP and the bunkroom have direct access to the day head for extra privacy. As with all Hatteras models, layouts and accommodations can be adjusted to fit the specific needs of individual customers.
